This event will go on!

Because teachers and staff at the university have now lost two days to ice, it is ever more important that community members, retired folks, and so forth, attend. Our legislators need to see us there! Hope you can make it.

Higher Ed Summit

In recent months, Northern & Central Louisiana Interfaith began to form a coalition with the faculty senates of ULM, Tech and Grambling to address the critical state of Higher Education in Louisiana and how it will affect the state's economy and our ability to fill critical jobs like nursing and accounting in the long term.

We need your participation in this summit! Dr. Sandra Woodley, the UL System president, will speak. Several members of our northern Louisiana delegation will be present, including Senator Francis Thompson, Representative Bubba Cheney and Representative Katrina Jackson.

Please let me know Sunday at St. Thomas' or via e-mail if you can attend.

Souper Bowl of Caring

Thanks to all who generously gave to our Souper Bowl of Caring fund drive. We raised $109.50 at St. Thomas' and it will all go to the Refuge of Hope.

In 2014, the Souper Bowl of Caring had 3,143 participating groups and collected $5,057,536 in cash and food items for charities in their area! Wow!
