Scams!

This came up in our clergy gathering today. We are all susceptible to scams - especially right now - following many local disasters and the pandemic - be careful - even if the commutation appears to come from some you know - Especially Bishop Jake Owensby, or the National Church or local church! We don't want anyone scammed. When in doubt - check it out thoroughly. Great info here...https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/file/21839/download?token=ujakKk5R

Virtual Diocesan Convention a Success

On Saturday, February 27, the diocese gathered virtually via Zoom for the 42nd Annual Diocesan Convention. The meeting was much like the usual in-person event. The participants voted on diocesan elections, heard reports on finance, Camp Hardtner, and watched highlights on new diocesan ministries.

The Bishop's Staff would like to extend gratitude to the clergy, delegates, and online visitors that participated in the virtual event. It was a great success. We look forward to gathering again in 2022!

Missed the event? View a live recording of Convention on Facebook or watch the Bishop's Address and other ministry highlight videos on the diocesan YouTube Channel.

John and Charles Wesley & Evening Prayer

Today is Wednesday, March 3. On this day, the Church remembers John and Charles Wesley.

The Collect

Lord God, you inspired your servants John and Charles Wesley with burning zeal for the sanctification of souls and endowed them with eloquence in speech and song: Kindle such fervor in your church, we entreat you, that those whose faith has cooled may be warmed, and those who have not known Christ may turn to him and be saved; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
