Join us...

Reading Luke

On the First Sunday of Advent, December 1, 2024, our Sunday Lectionary entered Year C in the Revised Common Lectionary. Most of our gospel readings this year are from Luke’s Gospel.

We invite you to join area Episcopalians to become familiar with the important parts of the Gospel According to Luke.  Devised by Father Frank Hughes, and co-lead by Father Whit Stodghill - this will not be a set of lectures. It will be an interactive way of learning about the Gospel of Luke in general, and also three major themes of Luke.  These themes are as follows: “Jesus According to Luke,” “God’s Salvation in Jesus Christ is for Everybody,” and “The Compassion of Jesus Christ and the Compassion of Christ’s Church.”

When: Thursday -  January 9, 16, 23, and 30, 2025

        6:00 - 7:00 p.m. (please arrive a bit early)

Where:         McLean Hall, St. Alban’s Episcopal Church,

          2816 Deborah Drive, Monroe

Bring your Bible and join us for fun, fellowship,  study, coffee, drinks, and refreshments.

For further information, please contact Father Hughes or Father Stodghill.
